Post Broadcast Information
All,
Here is the text from the letter sent out regarding the Interpreter Training on January 26 and 27, 2007.

===========================
Date: November 3, 2006

To: General Authorities; Area Seventies, Stake, Mission, and District Presidents, Bishops and Branch Presidents

From: Audiovisual Department, Broadcast and Event Services

Subject: Interpreter Training, January 26 and 27, 2007

The Translation Department of the Materials Management Department will broadcast interpreter training over the Church satellite system on Friday, January 26, 2007. The same training will be rebroadcast on Saturday, January 27, 2007. The appropriate priesthood leaders should select the time that is most convenient for the interpreters in their units to view the broadcast.

This broadcast is for all who currently support the interpretation efforts of the Church, whether at Church headquarters, in area offices, or in stakes, missions, districts, wards, or branches. Members who are interested in interpretation for any language or who may be called upon in the future to provide interpretation services may also be invited to attend.

The attached schedule lists the broadcast origination times in mountain standard time (MST) and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), formerly known as Greenwich mean time (GMT). Note that this broadcast was not included on the original 2007 satellite program schedule. Please give a copy of the attached schedule to the stake technology specialist.

The last post was for the Jan 2007 broadcast; I only posted it here because I got a copy of that version. Your stake PiFfeRs should have this information for tomorrow and Saturday.

My understanding is that the timeframe for each broadcast is exactly the same: 6-8:30 pm Fri night and 8-10 am Sat morning. The stake PiFfeR decides when the satellite gets turned on in your area.

I just want to point out for those not in Utah, that the broadcast is 6pm. mountain time, which is 7 central and for those of us on Eastern time it is at 8. I also was wondering if there was a way that we could get a list of these broadcasts a little more ahead of time. I know that they announced the second one at the last meeting, and until that time I had no idea there would be a second one, and because there was not a long lead time, only a month and a half... we have conflicts with other auxillaries because of it. Is this is? I hope not, I love them, but could we get the other dates assuming there will be more... ?

Excited for tonight. We should schedule another chat... its been a long time. We have much to discuss.

Also, for clarification on this, these broadcasts are kind of like the Star Wars movies: number one is actually number four. Apparently, the first three were broadcast in 2006 to a limited audience; the first broadcast of 2007 had far more publicity behind it than did the others.

So, in the grander scheme of things, number four is number one of 2007.

Can you regurgitate the rebroadcast schedule with corresponding original air dates?
