Re: Apostle or Article - Which is it?
Yup, the magic of (now) twenty-six year old sign language dictionaries...
I'm not sure of the context you're viewing/trying to determine ARTICLES; I'm assuming you mean 'Articles of Faith'? I can't think of any other reason to sign ARTICLE in church other than "Did you read that article in the Ensign?" or "There's a very sweet article in the Friend magazine this month," and that is a different sign anyway.
Pronunciations of church signs APOSTLE and ARTICLES-OF-FAITH:
APOSTLE
ARTICLES-OF-FAITH
Members of our ward use these signs when they mean:
- "The latter-day church has apostles, just as in ancient times." (LONG-AGO CHURCH HAVE 12 APOSTLE? TODAY CHURCH HAVE 12 APOSTLE? SAME-AS)
- "Primary children memorize the Articles of Faith." (ARTICLES-OF-FAITH CL:5"list"? CHILDREN IXthere PRIMARY MEMORIZE+)
